Join award-winning celebrity chef, author, filmmaker, founder, and social activist, Elizabeth Falkner, for stories of her creative ventures in culinary arts, sustainable food initiatives, and a private screening of “Sorry, We’re Closed”. Known for Citizen Cake, Orson, Krescendo, and Corvo Bianco, she is also active in No Kid Hungry, City Harvest, ActUp, Human Rights Campaign, and as a Trustee of the James Beard Foundation.
Her 2023 documentary reveals the devastating impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on chefs and independent restaurants. (Another Falkner production, “Food Games/Sustainability the Future of Food”, was filmed at Yale.) A cocktail tasting featuring recently launched T’MARO spirits and liqueurs with light hors d’oeuvres and beverages will precede the film.
Elizabeth Falkner will be introduced by Eleanor Pepples, Board Director of the Yale Club of San Francisco (YCSF) and Chair of the SF/Bay Area Yale Alumni Nonprofit Alliance. For more on T’Maro, see “The Nob Hill Gazette”. Tickets are selling out fast.
