Since launching in Fall 2016, YANA DC has been actively holding activities to connect and support members and Yale students. A few highlights include alums sharing their work in the social justice sector on a summer panel for Yale students and an evening with Phil Rucker ’06, who shared his insight as a White House correspondent on the current political environment in DC. We recently formed a Leadership Committee to help us expand the work we are able to do to support our members. We will concentrate on educational and networking events, volunteer opportunities, and chances to build a strong alumni community here.

Please join YANA DC for our second annual Yale student welcome event! On July 24 at 6:00pm, we will host current Yale students interested in nonprofit and social justice work and working in DC for the summer. These students want to meet all of you and hear about your experiences in this sector. Last summer's event was an incredible and motivating opportunity to hear from four distinguished alums, and we look forward to a similarly inspiring evening this year.
