21st Century Strategic Planning for Nonprofits

The YANA Roundtable on Thursday, March 13, 2014 focused on strategic planning. 

Held on the 54th floor at BNY Mellon in the MetLife Building, the location gave sweeping views of the city as the organizers provided a sweeping overview of the strategic planning process for nonprofit organizations.

Vivien Hoexter, led the team and facilitated.  Vivien, Eileen Egan, Sudip Mukherjee and Garrett Wong assisted in organizing the discussion and gave overviews of strategic planning and thinking in action with two volunteer organizations.

Sudip Mukherjee shared how Queens Community House instituted a strategic planning process at the board and the executive management level, sharing the successes and key learning from that experience.

Garrett Wong covered the organizational challenges involved in founding his grassroots nonprofit, The Building Roots Project.  His nonprofit has one successful project under its belt, but is still getting off the ground.
