DESCRIPTION:Would you like to play an active role in fostering a vibrant nonprofit community in Chicago? \nPlease join new YANA Chicago chapter chair Stephanie Rath ’96 and fellow Yale alumni in the Chicago area involved or interested in the nonprofit and social impact communities to share ideas and planning for future events and programming. \nThis will be an online meeting to get to know one another\, share ideas\, and begin to sketch out plans for starting the Chicago chapter of the Yale Alumni Nonprofit Alliance. Bring your ideas! Joe and his team work with educators to fight against LGBTQ discrimination by cultivating inclusive environments and weaving queer history and literature into the classroom.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAndrea McChristian ‘08: Law & Policy Director\, New Jersey Institute for Social Justice\, which focuses on providing residents of NJ’s urban communities with opportunities for meaningful employment\, promoting more humane alternatives to incarceration for youth\, and reshaping the state’s criminal justice system to assure equal access to justice.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFelipe Aragão Pires ‘20: Co-Founder\, Generation Do It\, an organization started by Yale students in response to the pandemic. Their goal is to connect college students whose summer plans were canceled with remote internships and work opportunities.
