DESCRIPTION:Efforts in Health Equity: Working Towards More Diverse and Value-Based Medical Care \nData have shown for years that the lack of diversity in medical schools\, the financial incentives to choose well-compensated specialties over community-based family practice\, and the fee-for-service reimbursement system in our country have disproportionately negatively impacted the most marginalized and vulnerable populations who already face barriers in access to quality health care. \nJoin YANA for an in-depth discussion with two physicians who have spent their careers working to correct for these disparities: YANA Board member and community health practitioner\, Dr. Patrice Yang ‘98\, MD & MPH Emory University ‘06\, and University of Houston Tilman J.
